Today is #GivingTuesday. Not familiar with the movement? Through the power of social media collaboration, the campaign celebrates giving back the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Since launching in 2012, this “global day of giving” has seen 30,000+ partners from all parts of the world and in all sectors of work from small businesses to major corporations to nonprofits.

Anyone, anywhere can join.

Last year, #GivingTuesday generated 32.7 million impressions on Twitter.

That’s a lot of social good power, right?

What we love about the campaign is that it empowers ordinary people to do extraordinary things and make real changes in their communities - right now.

It’s a day all about giving forward, creating change, and making a difference, which are three things we strive to do daily here at Spoiler Alert.

This #GivingTuesday, we’re asking you to do two simple things:

  1. Donate your surplus food through our online platform or
  2. Refer a food business, farm, or nonprofit that can make a major impact in fighting food insecurity throughout New England
